What is ChatGPT o1?
On September 14, 2024, OpenAI officially released its new model, ChatGPT o1, marking a pivotal moment in AI development. Internally referred to as Project Strawberry or Q*, this model represents OpenAI's first foray into AI systems that simulate human-like reasoning. By leveraging reinforcement learning and a chain-of-thought approach, ChatGPT o1 doesnāt just generate responsesāit "thinks" through problems, analyzing multiple layers before offering a solution.

Available in two versionsāo1-preview and o1-miniāthe model has already been rolled out to ChatGPT Premium and Teams users. However, this new reasoning powerhouse comes with a higher price tag for API access: $15 per 1M input tokens and $60 per 1M output tokens.
